The new type of multifunctional industrial appliance was delivered to the Doel Nuclear Power plant in the Beveren area of Belgium near Antwerp on April 7 of this year. The fire truck is unique in Europe and has been built by two Dutch companies, Gemco Mobile Systems and Plastisol. It hasn't just been designed for large-scale industrial fires, but can also deal with kerosene fires. Another application for the appliance is the extinguishment of structural fires - internal and external. It has the capacity to fight large industrial fires with a mixture of water and foam delivered by two industrial monitors - one mounted on the bumper with a capacity of 300 lpm at 10 bar, and the other on the roof at the end of a boom.
