Change can be good, even if it means more change out of your pocket.rnAnnual membership dues for the Institute of Industrial Engineers will rise for the first time in 10 years beginning Aug. 1. Professional dues will now be $13 9. The rate for first-year graduates, retired and life members - which are traditionally half the price of professional dues - will increase to $69.50. The HE Board of Trustees approved the increase at a meeting in March. "We've been able to manage costs so effectively over the past 10 years that we haven't had to increase dues sooner," said Heather Bradley, HE director of membership. "However, cost control has limits."
