By now, you have probably heard the terms "Smart City" or "Gigabit City" enough to have some opinion about what the terms mean. The basic idea of a "Smart City" is one that uses information and communications technology to manage the entirety of the city with the goal of making it more efficient, responsive, and environmentally sensitive for the benefit of the people, the economy and the city itself.
