Digital Storage: An Advanced Architecture for Video Storage

This article describes SSA (Serial Storage Architecture); a flexible high speed data storage standard which will take over from SCSI (Small Computer Storage Interface) and has particular relevance to digital video applications. SSA is an open standard to which Xyratex has made a major contribution. Xyratex is a leading supplier of disk storage systems and is actively seeking partners to apply this technology to solve broadcast and production problems.
