The 2005 IBC Exhibition and Conference during September proved to be even more successful than in its many previous years, with a record number of over 43,000 attendees, up by some 5% on 2004, and the number of people paying to attend the conference sessions actually grew faster than the numbers of exhibition-only visitors. Some people had to be turned away from the busiest sessions, and had to listen outside. It was also interesting to see that the numbers of students, many of them BKSTS Student Members, attending both exhibition and conference sessions grew, as students have come to realise that IBC is a great place to increase their knowledge and find out about the latest techniques and technologies.
