Cinematographer Profile Focus on Robin Vidgeon

Robin, who was born in 1939, became interested in film around the age of nine when his father took him to see the Bing Crosby film The Bells of St Mary's (1946). Over the next five years Robin gradually built his own home cinema. It included motorised tabs, lighting and a wind up gramophone. He hired 9.5mm films from a place in Shepherd's Bush, London, showing them to friends and family.
