Special Section on Face Perception and Recognition

摘要

The IEICE (Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers) Transactions on Information and Systems announces a forthcoming Special Section on Face Perception and Recognition to be published in March 2013 as a special section of Transactions on Information and Systems. With recent advances in physical / physiological measurement technologies, engineering approach to face perception and recognition have been changed in recent years. Those researches are widely spread not only in the engineering field but also collaboration with neuroscience and psychology, leading to new capabilities in industrial areas such as such as medicine, cosmetics, healthcare, and entertainment.
