摘要

This report reconsiders scattering of a TE plane wave from periodic rectangular grooves with single defect. A new integral equation, which determines the scattered wave due to single defect, is derived. By numerically solving such an integral equation, the scattering cross section and the optical theorem are shown with high accuracy. It is newly pointed out that the angular distribution of the Bcattering cross section has sharp peaks at the critical angles of scattering, where the incoherent Wood's anomaly takes place for a TM plane wave incidence.
