摘要

A new technique for improving the efficiency of single-phasenhigh-frequency switch-mode boost rectifiers is proposed. This rectifiernincludes an additional boost converter that follows the mainnhigh-frequency switching device. The additional converter, which isncontrolled at lower frequencies, bypasses almost all the current in thenmain switch and the high frequency switching loss is greatly reducednaccordingly. Both switching devices are controlled by a simple method;neach controller consists of a one-shot multivibrator, a comparator andnan AND gate, and the maximum switching frequency can be limited withoutnany clock generator. The rectifier works cooperatively in highnefficiency and acts as though it were a conventional high-frequencynswitch-mode rectifier with one switching device. The proposed method isnverified by experiment. This paper describes the rectifier configurationnand design, and discusses the steady-state performance concerning thenswitching loss reduction and efficiency improvement.
