摘要

One of the most popular applications of digital signal processing is speech processing, wherein speech may be analyzed, compressed, coded, synthesized, or recognized. As recently as a few years ago, this type of signal processing was done with a system comprised of a minicomputer, an array processor, and a large storage system. Nowadays, with the advances made by the semiconductor industry, a speech processing system may be condensed into a large-scale integrated circuit.
