摘要

Adaptive channel estimation (ACE) and dedicated pilot powernadjustment based on the fading-rate measurement is investigated for thenpilot-aided direct-sequence (DS) code division multiple access (CDMA)nsystem. A novel adaptive channel estimator is presented, which makes usenof an optimum integral duration or selects the optimum finite-impulsenresponse (FIR) filter coefficients based on the fading-rate measurement.nDynamic adjustment of the dedicated pilot power is further proposed fornthe purpose of increasing the system capacity, based on the fact thatnthe power of the dedicated pilot channel (DPCH) can be reduced when thenmobile station moves slowly. Theoretical analysis and computernsimulation results show that significant performance improvement can benachieved by using the proposed adaptive channel estimator and thendynamic pilot power adjustment method
