Climate Change Impacts and Inter-agency Cooperation in Tourism and Travel

摘要

Climate change is not some distant, future threat to tourism and travel. Its varied impacts are increasingly becoming evident in various destinations around the world and affecting the tourism and travel industry and the communities which depend upon it (see Fig.l, p. 35). The integrated effects of climate change are anticipated to have far reaching impacts on tourism and travel businesses and destinations. Climate change is already altering the decisions of travelers in terms of the destinations they choose and the timing of their trips.
