Ecology and hydraulic engineering: types of channel processes in river segments containing underwater crossings of oil pipelines operated by the autonomous union privolzhskie mn
The flow of water, drift, and limiting aspects (characteristic features of the geological and geomorphological structure of river valleys) are assumed basic factors of channel formation in hydromorphological theory [4]. In geomorphological respects, the land traversed by arterial pipelines along the Volga River is a set of heterogenous regions [3, 5-7]. The southeastern part of the mid-Russian highland and the southern part of the Oka-Don lowland reside in the northwest, the Volga River highland in the north and along the right bank of the Volga (to Volgograd), the left band along the Lower Volga (including the Bugul'minsk-Belebeevsk highland and Obshchii Marsh)in the northeast, the Near-Caspian flatland in the south, and the flat Kuban/Near-Azov lowland in the southwest.
