In an on-going programme since 1993, hundreds of post-ten-sioned concrete bridges have been earmarked for initial inspection and subsequent physical investigation. The Department of Transport (now Highways Agency) made an order for special inspection of certain post-ten-sioned concrete bridge decks and substructures.
