Surveys keep EMAC contracts on track

Effective asset management is at the heart of Enhanced Managing Agent Contractor jobs. In 2006, the agency awarded its first EMAC contract to InterRoute - the joint venture between Balfour Beatty and Mott MacDonald - covering Area 2. EMACs differ from the conventional Managing Agent Contractor arrangement by focusing on the quality of the service provided in terms of best value. This encourages the joint venture to be innovative as well as economic, and add value and improve service provision while underpinning the Highways Agency's key aims: Safe Roads Reliable Journeys, Informed Travellers.
