Experts at the Transport Research Laboratory have launched the latest TRANSYT 13 software program designed to improve the phasing and co-ordination of traffic signals timings. TRL has invested significantly in this major upgrade to TRANSYT and it now offers for the first time a fully graphically integrated version, with across-the-board improved ease-of-use. TRANSYT 13 can be used with any network of roads for which the average traffic flows are known and it allows the optimising of signalised junctions in order to reduce congestion and all its related consequences. The software aims to make it a simpler modelling process in just the one package -saving the traffic professional vital software expense and training time.
