Designs being drawn-up for £678m widening of A14 near Huntingdon

A joint venture between Costain and Skanska is working on the detailed design for a mammoth project to widen a stretch of the AH after recently being confirmed winner of the estimated E678 million deal. The Costain/Skanska JV edged out Balfour Beatty, Alfred McAlpine, Edmund Nuttall, Carillion and Laing O'Rourke to the early contractor involvement deal for the Highways Agency.
