George Leslie, RI McLeod and Torith are chasing a £1.2 million contract to strengthen the Tarvit Road Bridge on the B940 at Cupar for Fife Council. Tenders have been returned for the project, which is due to start in March 2010 and run for nine months. J Breheny and Murphy are among the contractors to submit tenders for a £325,000 million contract to refurbish the Vanguard Bridge in Splisby, Lincolnshire, for the county council. A decision is due any day as work is expected to begin this month (November). AE Yates, Bardon and Balfour Beatty are in the running for places on a pair of road frameworks to carry out an estimated total of £30 million-worth over the next few years in Blackpool for the local borough council. The four-year civil engineering capital projects frameworks are split into two lots, one covering jobs up to £150,000 and the other covering jobs from that limit up to £2 million.
