Chapter 8 has been updated. A PDF with the key changes is at www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roads/tss/tsmanual/keychanges.pdf The sections on crossovers and changeovers are expanded. There are new sections on closure of dual carriageway roads, works near tramways, recovery of vehicles and slow moving continuous operations such as maintenance inspections and road testing. In other parts terminology has changed. The fully revised versions for Chapter 8 and the Red Book should be out for consultation in autumn 2009.
