1.Richard Hayes, IHE Vice President, chaired the 2010 Inside Government conference in October on "Resilient Transport Networks planning for severe weather conditions". Speakers included David Quarmby, the winter resilience review chairman and Norman Baker MP. 2.Steve Spender, IHE President, has been asked to join a working group charged with reviewing the constitutions of the National Winter Service Research Group (NWSRG) and the UK Roads Board to enable the two groups to work closer toqether.
