Balfour Beattv cuts in for ￡100m Warwickshire job

Balfour Beatty will replace Carillion as Warwickshire County Council's road maintenance contractor after pipping a host of other contractors to a ￡100 million contract that will also involve Coventry City Council. Amey, Carillion, Colas, Costain, Enterprise and Ringway all expressed interest in the job before a short-list of five contractors was drawn up with Balfour taking the new five-year contract, which begins on May 5 2011.
