BAM Nuttall, Birse, Carillion, Dyer a Butler, Jackson Civil Engineering and Skanska are all understood to have submitted tenders for an infrastructure deal for Slough Borough Council. Work includes highway realignment works, removing a roundabout on Wellington Street and replacement with a traffic signal controlled crossroads. WYG has the commission to supervise the works, which are making way for the £450 million Heart of Slough project aimed at revitalizing the Berkshire town. The Homes £t Communities Agency has £17 million of funding towards new infrastructure for Heart of Slough project and other proposals includes replacing the Brunei roundabout and subways with pedestrian crossings by October 2011.
