Hochtief has bagged the contract to build the prestigious ￡37 million Twin Sails road bridge project at Poole in Dorset.rnThe UK arm of the German outfit beat BAM Nuttall, VINCI, Volker Stevin and Northern-Irish outfit John Graham to the job. Costain were also linked with the deal but did not submit a tender to build the bridge, which Hochtief must complete by 2012.The bridge is being designed by architects Wilkinson Eyre, while Gifford has been brought on board as structural engineer, Atkins Bennett is providing mechanical advice and Edinburgh-based Speirs ￡t Major is the lighting contractor.
