Clegg's cull of the lords is another unpopular policy

Lord Howie hears his fellow peers blow a raspberry at plans to reform the Upper Chamber. Last month Nick Clegg's constitutional reform bandwagon rolled into Westminster once again. Undaunted by the fiasco of the alternative vote referendum, he tabled and presented a white paper on the much heralded reform of the House of Lords accompanied by a draft Bill which would accomplish that feat.
