Maintenance is safer than houses

All the talk at the party conferences has been about stimulating the economy by building more houses. The positive effects of increasing highways maintenance have hardly been touched on despite the myriad benefits. There is a chronic housing shortage in this country. And Government help for the industry has simply resulted so far in massive profit rises for the major house builders.
