Testing times

Klaruw has extended its range of retexturing technology with the launch of a new, user-friendly hydraulic testing system for evaluating pavement surface macro-texture. The Klaruw Outflow Meter (OFM) measures the effectiveness of the pavement surface in dissipating water pressure at the tyre interface. In turn, this indicates the potential for aquaplaning in wet conditions. Portable and fully self-contained, the design works by releasing a measured volume of water into a base sealing ring simulating a tyre footprint.
