Aggregate Industries, Breedon and Leiths returned bids for a £600,000 contract for structural maintenance to a 900-m section of the A95 from Craigellachie to Wester Gauldwell in Inverness. A decision is imminent as a start on site is due later this month and the job is expected to take five months to complete. AE Yates, Birse, Hanson, Tarmac, J Murphy, Hanson, Jackson, Peter Duffy, Cemex, VHE, Ringway are among the contractors chasing places on a £22 million civils framework for North Yorkshire County Council. The work will be let in 22 different lots, from civil maintenance jobs worth up to £50,000 to civil engineering infrastructure improvement and maintenance schemes valued up to £750,000. Tenders were returned January 27 and the contracts start in April.
