With a foundry in Holwell, near Melton Mowbray, Saint-Gobain PAM manufactures ductile iron access covers and gratings using 98 per cent recycled materials. Joe Hughes, quality manager at the Holwelll site, looks at some of the most significant improvements in waste management that have taken place at the foundry in recent years and how these have helped the company to develop an efficient and durable range of access covers and gratings.
