Opening up to open data

摘要

How we collect and manage our data in the future will be crucial to transforming and improving the transport network. The challenge is the pace at which this data can be harvested and analysed so as to improve decision-making and strategy. This was the subject forthe latest Highways round table debate, which took place at Traffex 2017 and was sponsored by Dynniq. The debate took place alongside a live hackathon, the Data Discovery Centre, which was the continuation of a project started in 2016 with the aim of analysing and defining existing datasets from a number of different areas of the highways and transport sector to make them more accessible.
