Strengthening and refurbishing of the M4 elevated motorway

Located in Brentford, the M4 elevated motorway section carries a strategically critical piece of transport infrastructure from the M25 and Heathrow Airport to the centre of London. Highways England and Connect Plus identified the need for a programme of structural monitoring, maintenance and significant strengthening of the 100 reinforced concrete piers that support the M4 bridge.
