Local authority vehicle tracking and route management specialist Exactrak has announced an upgrade to its successful route management software, Map-A-Route, which is set to support remote working while streamlining gritting operations for local authorities during this winter season. With local authorities not fully transitioning back to offices from remote working environments until early 2021 and social distancing procedures becoming common practice within the workplace, now more than ever there is a huge requirement for simplified remote working practices. As the winter season approaches, many local authorities and term maintenance contractors will already be using Map-A-Route to create their winter gritting routes.
