Missing link found for Valley road funding

Balfour Beatty starts main construction work in April on the £55m Forder Valle) Link Road project after Government funding of £22m was agreed. The cost of the scheme has leapt from an initial £38m, owing to increases in costs for plant, labour and materials, a need for more infill due to lower than expected bedrock, and a decision to widen the road to increase capacity.
