Comparison of thrombotic biomarkers in surgical patients undergoing open or laparoscopic colectomy for colorectal carcinoma

Aim-Background Though there is evidence to suggest the benefit of laparoscopic surgery for colon cancer, the potentially less thrombogenic effect of the method compared to open surgery has not been investigated. The objective of the study was to compare thrombogenic factors in patients with colorectal adenocarcinoma subjected to open or laparoscopic surgery.
