Copper plumbing systems have been commonplace in Europe and America for 100 years. For much of this time the principle of connecting copper tube and fittings was much the same -heat-based capillary jointing. Now, however, times have changed. Although heat-based jointing methods still remain popular, installers and specifiers can now choose from a variety of heat-free jointing methods for their installation.
