After 7 successful conferences on heat exchanger fouling and cleaning organized through Engineering Conferences International (ECI) in California (1995), Italy (1997), Canada (1999), Switzerland (2001), New Mexico (2003), Germany (2005) and Portugal (2007), we have decided to take on the administration of the 2009 fouling conference ourselves (withrnmoral support from EUROTHERM and the International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer). The reasons behind this decision were to reduce the administrative processing time and the ever increasing costs. We are, therefore, particularly pleased that we will be able to hold the next conference in an outstanding conference venue at a significantly reduced cost (in Euro) to the participants.
