Gauge emulation a cost efficient solution for tank gauging projects

Modern tank gauges have the possibility to upgrade mechanics to electronics within the same bus system. Discussions on communication between field instrumentation have focused on standardized field buses such as FieldBus, ProfiBus and others. In many processes they are a powerful tool to control industrial processes and can in many cases be the most economical alternative too. Here was a belief that these buses would solve all interface and connection problems between different types of manufacturer specific instruments.
