私は、ロイヤル・カリビアン・インターナショナルの副社長として、また近年は、アジアクルーズ協会の会長として、ここ15年間、大きな期待感を持って日本へ訪問しています。%I have had the great pleasure of visiting Japan for the past 15 years to meet with trade partners and industry stakeholders to promote the benefits of cruising in a market that has all the choice elements to be the next frontier for cruising in my capacity as Regional Vice President, International, at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and, most recently, as Chairman of the Asia Cruise Association. Within the last five years, however, the cruising landscape in Asia has taken an unexpected turn; China, which was not considered a growth market a decade ago is on a growth pattern poised to make it the fastest growth market in the world. The Chinese government and several port authorities have worked in tandem with cruise operators in laying the foundation for the future growth of the cruise industry in North Asia.
