Red. - In 1994 Japan's ship machinery industry exported machinery for about 142,765 mil ￥. These exports consist of about 30% outboard engines and 16-18% each of diesel engines, navigatio-nal equipment, parts and components, and auxiliary machinery (8.2%). The total export figure marks just about 17.6% of the total production. That means that there is a dornestic market for about 670 bil ￥.
