More than a year ago financial markets seemed to have collapsed over night - although some experts were not that surprised, however the heavy impact still exceeded even their imagination. Subsequent repercussions were shaking up the commercial markets worldwide as never before - or at least not within the past 80 years. In consequence thereof almost all areas of the global shipping industry also were hit and experienced a free fall from a remarkable altitude the market had gained during the past few years.
