Integration of the rudderpropeller into the ship structure

The continuing trend to higher powers coupled to larger rpm can cause problems with vibrations in tugs. Higher powers are installed into smaller and more lightweight hull constructions. At the same time the demands for smooth operation with low vibration levels come into the foreground for reasons of comfort together with a more proven knowledge on the influence of vibrations on component lifetime.
