According to a press release from BIMCO, Copenhagen, the international shipping organisation managed to get unnamed charterers to honour two arbitration awards totally amounting to around US$ 4.3 mill. The organisation had been involved by one of its members in October 2009 as ?no response nor payment was forthcoming? and has reported the incident in a BIMCO Notice to its Members in January.
