Power and automation technology group ABB has agreed to ac quire Amarcon, a Dutch Company that develops and markets Soft ware Solutions for the shipping industry. The acquisition will ex pand ABB's advisory Systems offering for customers in the maritime sectors. The transaction is expected to be closed in the third quar ter of 2012.
