The general trend in the dry cargo market remains positive but with diverging fortunes in the individual size classes. The capsize spot market lost some steam, coinciding with a sorter trend in the iron ore commodity market. By contrast, panamax freights were soaring on the back of buoyant tonnage in grain ports on the East Coast of South America. Supramax and handysize earnings improved slightly.
