The joint Statoil/MAN B&W Diesel project »Utilisation of oil vapours released during loading of the crude oil cargo as fuel for the main engines of shuttle tan-kers« recently won the Seatrade Award 1998 for Innovation. This year's scheme attracted 85 entries from 16 countries within the areas of safety at sea, countering marine pollution, and innovation.
