Free seminars on modern limit analysis methods

Engineering software company LimitState is running a series of in-depth technical sessions on modern limit analysis methods. These methods bridge the gap between traditional hand calculations and complex finite element methods. It will be explained how engineers can use these methods to solve a wide range of problems, enhancing their productivity and stimulating the development of more creative design solutions. Speakers will include LimitState co-founders Dr Colin Smith and Professor Matthew Gilbert of the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering at the University of Sheffield. Dr Smith (pictured) is also the Secretary to the ISSMGE Technical Committee TC205 "Safety and Serviceability in Geotechnical Design".
