A Technical Note has been prepared to aid geotechnical engineers in calculating the track loading for piling rigs. The note supercedes the Technical Note A Simple Stability Check f or Piling Rigs, published in Ground Engineering in September 2011 which set out the basis for calculating a stability factor and gave recommended limiting values for different modes of rig operation.
