Energy storage battery system for Liverpool wind farm

Dong Energy has created an energy storage hybrid by integrating a battery system into its Burbo Bank farm in Liverpool to capture energy generated by its offshore wind turbines. The 2MW battery system will help to balance the grid by capturing energy from its offshore wind turbines at the 90MW farm off the Merseyside coast.
