Nestled on a 4km strip of land between France and the Mediterranean, its coastal border offers a prime opportunity for expansion - into the sea. With Bouygues Travaux Publics (BYTP) at the construction helm, the €2bn (£1.8bn) Monaco Offshore Extension involves the construction of an embankment along the principality's coastline, and the development of a new residential neighbourhood, l'Anse-du-Portier.
