Geotechnical engineer Roni Savage has been named as a Champion ofWomen in Business in the UK by the Financial Times (FT) for her role in empowering women in the workplace.Savage came 58th in the FTs second annual ranking of executives who have made a substantial difference to women's careers. The ranking showcases 100 female executives, 50 male executives and 50 female future leaders.Those on the list were nominated by peers and reviewed by a panel of judges.Savage has a degree in engineering geology and geotechnics from the University of Portsmouth, as well as an MSc in environmental management at the University of Exeter. She has worked with various engineering consultancies.
