A former longtime George W. Bush administration official is now lobbying for the Wilderness Society, a prominent environmental group. Mark Rey has registered to lobby for the organization on conservation and recovery of sage grouse, according to lobbying disclosure records released by the Senate this week. Rey's lobbying registration said he has been lobbying for the Wilderness Society since Oct. 1. Rey was the undersecretary for natural resources and environment at the Department of Agriculture. In the position, he oversaw the Forest Service as well as the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
